Portrait of Jayne Wynne

I trained in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy, this provides a way to look at a person’s history, their psychological make up, how they relate to others, the decisions made about self (healthy and unhealthy) and any unhelpful repeating patterns in their lives.

Psychotherapy can provide an opportunity to understand yourself, others and the world around you however, more importantly it creates the opportunity for change.

I have a special interest in the nervous system, mind and body and how trauma impacts these parts of ourselves. This interest guides me to work in a more embodied way, to help people better inhabit their bodies, self soothe and regulate their feelings to feel more calm, grounded and connected with themselves.

In addition to this, I have a fascination in how our thoughts, feelings, beliefs and attitudes can positively or negatively affect our biological functioning causing our bodies to represent the state of our mind and vice versa. This complex interrelationship has been an area of interest for several years and I bring this awareness into my practice.
